An inspiring industry event took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Frankfurt am Main. For the second year in a row, enthusiasts, industry representatives, and experts gathered at this Adobe-organized event to discover the latest features and insights into Premiere Pro and After Effects.

In addition to Adobe’s own team, who led the presentations of the new program features, representatives from the media industry were also invited and provided fascinating insights into topics such as changes in influencer marketing and the use of digital characters as media stars.

New features and artificial intelligence
Improving workflow and simplifying individual processes has always been the goal of new developments — including the AI-powered features in Premiere Pro. The search field now allows for a “text-to-image” search, where artificial intelligence analyzes content based on text prompts and provides matching clips. Likewise, clips can now be extended by up to two seconds using generative AI — a helpful feature for smoother transitions, maintaining proper timing, and giving editors that extra bit of flexibility that can make all the difference.

Adobe After Effects has also received several updates and quality-of-life improvements. Memory usage has been optimized, allowing even less powerful devices to work faster and handle larger projects more efficiently. Another topic was Adobe’s generative AI tool, Firefly, which provides powerful support for visualizing ideas and concepts. It offers exciting features like Image to Video and Text to Video, enabling users to generate video clips directly from their own images or text prompts.
